Meet Jelena!

Hi, I’m Jelena Todorovich—artist, mother, and art educator with over 27 years of teaching experience.

I grew up in the small, historic community of Bishop Hill, Illinois, where my love for art first began. Surrounded by creativity and craftsmanship, I developed a deep appreciation for the way art connects people, tells stories, and preserves culture. That passion led me to study at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago, where I refined both my artistic voice and my dedication to arts education.

For nearly three decades, I have had the privilege of teaching in the Chicago suburbs, working with students of all ages and abilities. From young children discovering the joy of color for the first time to adults exploring new techniques and creative confidence, I believe art is for everyone. My classroom has always been a space of encouragement, curiosity, and growth—where each individual’s unique perspective is celebrated.

Now, I am excited to begin a new chapter by opening my own studio and bringing my experience, energy, and love of teaching to this community. My goal is to create a welcoming environment where creativity thrives, skills are nurtured, and every student feels inspired to express themselves.

Art has shaped my life in countless ways—as a teacher, as an artist, and as a mother. I look forward to sharing that journey with you and helping you discover the joy and power of creating.
